Samsung’s unannounced Galaxy S20 Fan Edition (FE) has appeared in a pair of new videos. The first is a hands-on video from YouTuber Jimmy Is Promo which shows off the device from every angle and details its key specs. Meanwhile, the second video appears to be a leaked promo video for the 5G version of the device posted to Twitter by @yabhishekhd. Jimmy Is Promo says the phone should retail for between $699 and $750.

According to Jimmy is Promo, whose previous videos include a hands-on look at the Note 20 ahead of its official announcement, the Galaxy S20 FE will have a 6.5-inch 120Hz 1080p flat display, making it slightly bigger than the 6.2-inch Galaxy S20 but smaller than the 6.7-inch S20 Plus. It has a plastic back, no headphone jack, IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, stereo speakers, and supports standard wireless charging as well as reverse wireless charging for topping up Qi-compatible accessories like headphones.

In terms of cameras, Jimmy Is Promo’s video confirms a previous report from The Elec which said that the phone has a triple rear camera array with a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, and an 8-megapixel telephoto with a 3x zoom. Samsung appears to be combining this 3x optical zoom with a 10x digital zoom to bring back the 30x “Space Zoom” from the original Galaxy S20. Its central hole-punch cutout contains a 32-megapixel selfie camera.

Other specs include a 4,500mAh battery, a Snapdragon 865 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. Jimmy Is Promo speculates that there could be a step-up model with 8GB of RAM and more internal storage. Renders of the phone previously leaked by Evan Blass show it in six colors: blue, mint green, white, red, pink, and orange.

We’re also learning that the Galaxy S20 FE’s camera has features like “Single Take” (which captures a selection of different camera effects with just one press of the shutter button) and night mode. Jimmy Is Promo says the device will launch with Samsung’s One UI 2.5 software built on Android 10.

We won’t have long to wait to see how accurate these reports are. Samsung is widely expected to announce the Galaxy S20 FE at an event later this week on September 23rd. If the leaks are accurate, we could be looking at a very similarly specced device to the $999 Galaxy S20, with a much lower starting price.
